‘CRA3’ – PRODUCT DETAILS

CRA3 is a chemical release agent specially formulated to give easy release of plastic and thermoplastic mould liners providing high quality surface finishes to concrete. i.e. Polypropylene, ABS, Polyurethane, some latex and rubber moulds etc.

ADVANTAGES

• CRA3 is suitable for use on plastic mould liners with excellent results.
• It is a suspension and sediment free, highly mobile liquid, which can be used in fine sprays without clogging the jets.
• There is no unpleasant odour, even when using a fine fog spray.
• Provides a quick, positive release of moulds, reducing labour costs and damage to moulds.
• Very economic coverage rates can be obtained without difficulty.
• It can be used with either grey or white cement and concrete incorporating pigments.
• CRA3 may be used for metal or timber mould boxes holding the mould liner, allowing easy cleaning of all equipment.
• Retains its mobility at low temperatures.
• Drastically reduces the incidence of blowholes, surface blemishes and staining.
• It may be applied immediately prior to casting, or treated moulds may be left until apparently dry.

• Specific Gravity: 0.878 @ 15 °C
• Flash Point: 184 °C (Pensky Martin Closed Cup)
• Viscosity: 9.5cST @ 40 °C
• Freezing Point: -30 °C
• Storage Life: Indefinite in manufacturer’s sealed drums

APPLICATION

• CRA3 is ready for use and should not be diluted.
• It should be applied as thinly and evenly as possible for optimum performance.
• It can be applied to all types of mould system by spray, fine-haired brush, swab or roller.
• Excess should be removed. For the best and most economical performance, application by fine fog spray is recommended.
• It will not clog fine jets even at low temperatures.

COVERAGE

• 35 to 65 m²/litre dependant on material type porosity, texture of surface and ambient temperature.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

• ARMCON products in manufacturer’s sealed drums require no special storage facilities
• This type of material should be applied in well ventilated areas.
• Keep away from naked flames, electrical equipment, foodstuffs and children.
• This material does not constitute a health hazard or promote a dermatitic or carcinogenic reaction provided reasonable care is exercised according to Health and Safety Regulations.

PACKAGING

• CRA 3 is supplied in 210 litre and 25 litre drums. Bulk storage and road tanker service available.
